Happy Easter!
Happy Easter weekend! I wanted to do a drawing for Easter, and I honestly tried to think of a less crass idea, but this image just stuck in my head and I couldn't get it out! I also did an Easter themed drawing for one of my idioms (Don't Put All Your Eggs in One Basket). Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Pugger
I love it when my pug lays down on her belly and kicks back her legs like this:
She looks like a little frog! This then had me thinking about frogs, which then had me thinking about Frogger, one of the best games from my childhood. I used to love that game! Gaming systems nowadays are pretty awesome but there's nothing like the classics. I loved the tabletop version, where you and your opponent sit on opposite sides. So here is my version of Frogger, pug-frog style. I really enjoyed doing this one - it made me feel so nostalgic!

Happy New Year!
This is based off of a request by my nephew after we did our Korean traditional bowing to elders this new years. He asked that I do a drawing of Sunny and bunny in their hamboks and about to bow. Happy New Year!

We Made Our Beds...
...now we're laying on them. For some reason I'm on an old office kick. I guess with one drawing it just kick started some memories and old jokes. One of my former coworkers and I were so sad and tired one day in the office we rested our heads on our binders. The binders that took so much of our time, sweat and tears. We started to crack up at the idea that we were laying our heads on our instruments of torture. Yes, humor gets twisted in a twisted work environment.

Human Billy and Emily with Sunny
This is an old one I did when I was first starting to draw again. My niece and nephew (human versions of Billy and Emily) wanted to watch me a draw a picture and directed me to draw them with Sunny in rain boots. And so I did. It's a bit sloppy because I did it real quickly.

City Slickers Gone Apple Picking
Buzzing, bustling, big bumblebee,
Please do not think of stinging me.
Filthy, flitting, frustrating fly,
Please do not try to come buzz by.
I thought I'd try apple picking,
Instead arms and legs were kicking.
It's not like Blueberries for Sal,
I'm not a bug and nature gal.
I'll wait until it's time to go,
Now get this beetle off my toe!
I went apple picking with my niece and nephew this past long weekend and it started off great but quickly devolved as they started to get anxious over the bees, flies, and gnats. They were also getting tired from trekking up and down the hills. So my sister sped through and gathered a huge bag while I stayed by the road with my niece and nephew, and guarded them from the flying bugs. I just did a quick and silly rhyme and drawing for fun. I also wanted to try out some markers. They're fine for small stuff but for the background I should've left it white or painted it with watercolors. And my new pen's ink totally smudges and bleeds. Argh.

Ode to Pug Mug
Some days are suck, full of bad luck.
Some days are long, where all goes wrong.
My pick me up is my fat pug,
Who cheers me with her little mug.
Some days are long, where all goes wrong.
My pick me up is my fat pug,
Who cheers me with her little mug.
