My mind immediately jumped to my first pug, Cookie. I had joint custody of her with my sister when I was in high school. She was the sweetest and gentlest pug and, for a random fact, she had the softest ears EVER. Just because I have Sunny now doesn't mean that Cookie is forgotten, but it also doesn't mean that I loved Cookie more than I love Sunny now because she was my first pug. I will always love and miss Cookie, but there's plenty of room in my heart for both Cookie and Sunny (and any future pugs in my life...).

I especially love today's. I have just got a new puppy, Bronte, after losing our dear Dylan last November.
I was worried I was "replacing" him and I worry I will forget him. But that's not the case. It is exactly true what you say- there is room for both.
And though they are both the same breed, they are so very different.

Aw thanks everyone! When I first got Sunny I was so worried I wouldn't love her as much as my first pug, Cookie! And I have to admit that at first I compared Sunny to Cookie a lot in my head, but now I've come to fully appreciate their separate personalities and quirks. My lil Cookie monster and Sunny bunny will always have a place in my heart and will be there to welcome any future pugs!
