Pug Carrier

On a lazy weekend Sunny and I like to relax and run some errands.  If I didn't worry about looking like a pug-crazed weirdo, I would totally walk around with Sunny strapped to me.  She's getting older and gets tired faster so I think she'd appreciate being carried around!  Plus she's a stubborn and persistent sniffer so this would really be the most efficient way for us to get around long stretches.  Maybe one day...

  1. I know of someone who does a pug-in-a-purse in order to get things done when out and about with their overweight, geriatric pug who often refuses to walk for more than a few minutes. You wouldn't be alone!

  2. I have a similar carrier that my mom made for me to carry Mia. She faces me so she can lay on my chest. She wears herself out during fundraisers and events and I still need to be mobile and functioning even when she's not. So we resorted to the sling!

  3. I would totally do this. I haven't found a carrier for 25 lbs of pug. :(

  4. I *did* do this. My pug is old and can't keep up with us on trails. So I tried a baby carrier on one trip but he's just too heavy. We do have a makeshift stroller we used to put him on a lot. It's a small ironing board placed into the bones of an old fashioned, simple stroller. If I could figure out how to post pics on here, I would!

  5. Yah. I've reached the stage of being owned by pugs that I don't actually care what people think - as long as the pug is happy. I used to care. Really. This actually looks reasonable to me now.
