Good Pugs Gone Bad

I haven't been drawing as much recently because I've been busy with work and dealing with a two pug household. I love it! (my pugs, not work). Sunny and Rosy are definitely getting closer and more used to each other, and I've even caught them snuggling a couple times (probably due to the cold weather), but they often get into little tiffs. Usually Rosy instigates it by biting Sunny's back legs and trying to hump her. Sometimes Sunny suffers in silence and other times she puts her paw down and regulates! Today they were both being bad - nipping at each other, fighting, chasing trucks, and not doing their business outside. Sigh. Lucky they're so cute! Here are some photos of their " interactions." They crack me up every day! And stay tuned in the next few days for some holiday drawings!

Welcome Home Pug Stretch

Sometimes when I come home and the girls greet me by jumping up on my legs I can't tell if they're trying to hug and kiss me, or they're just using me to stretch.  Most of these jump hugs end with a long stretch as I stand there for them.  I'm like the wall or chair that people use for balance as they stretch their quads or calves.

How I Know That My Pugs Love Me

Sometimes it feels like my pugs only think of me as The Feeder, but then there are times when I can tell that they love me for me.  In fact, sometimes it feels like they are OBSESSED with me.  And I love it.

Sibling Rules (Sunny's Version)

Yesterday I posted "Rosy's version of sibling rules" and so of course we need to see Sunny's side of things.  Here are the sibling rules from the older, first pug to the younger newbie.

I Voted

I don't want to get into politics here other than to say I hope you voted today! No matter what your political affiliation and beliefs are, it's important to vote and express those views! I had to wait in a line for over 2.5 hours in the freezing cold but it was worth it, especially since I live in a swing state. Happy election day everyone!

Sibling Rules (Rosy's Version)

I've been living a two-pug life now for over a week and am loving it!  As you know from my last post "Introducing The Newbie - Rosy!" I adopted a 2 year-old pug.  She is so different from Sunny - full of mischief and energy!  She's also obsessed with me and will cry when I leave her, even when I shower.  I now just leave the door open and she squeezes her face in between the wall and the shower curtain and blinks as the water mists her face.

While it was a bit difficult at times between Sunny and Rosy, they're slowly working things out and are getting along better each day.  I try not to get too involved with their hierarchy tiffs so that they can settle things themselves, but I did have to break up one fight (no more yummy chews for a while).  As I've observed their interactions I've noticed a certain set of rules that have been evolving between the girls.  So here are a few from Rosy's point of view.
